JTI Receives Top Employers 2020 Certification

JTI in Belarus received the Top Employer Belarus 2020 and Top Employer Europe 2020 certification from the Top Employers international institute for evaluating the best employers.

In addition, JTI has been awarded the Global Top Employer 2020 status for the sixth time in a row globally. In total, 63 JTI divisions in 58 countries have received the local and regional Top Employer 2020 status of this independent HR certification institute.

The Belarusian division of JTI has received this status for the fourth time. Natalya Volchetskaya, HR Director of JTI in Belarus, recalled that in 2015 JTI became the first and today remains the only company in Belarus to receive Top Employers certification.

“The high status of Top Employer confirms once again that JTI is committed to continually improving employee conditions and implementing innovative HR practices, with a focus on talent management, rewards and employee empowerment. We are sure that this is an important event not only for our company, but also for the entire HR-community of Belarus, bringing it closer to the world level of standards for personnel management", Natalia Volchetskaya emphasized.

The annual international survey of the independent Top Employers Institute identifies the leading employers in the world, analyzing 600 practices for personnel development in areas such as talent acquisition strategy, workforce planning, human resources, adaptation, training and development, performance management, leadership development, career development and continuity, compensation and benefits, corporate culture. In each area, the relevant processes, procedures, systems and data are carefully evaluated against the existing standards in these areas.

The JTI company started working in Belarus in 1998. As part of the implementation of the state program of import substitution, JTI became the first international company to start in 2005 the production of tobacco products of international brands at the facilities of Tabak-invest LLC. The factory produces cigarettes of the brands Sobranie, Camel, Winston, LD, Monte Carlo. The company employs 200 people, offices are located in Minsk and all regional centers.
