Round Table "Protection mechanisms of the internal market: problems and prospects"

Client: producers of beer and non-alcoholic beverages

Objectives: to discuss inappropriate use of non-tariff protection of the internal market - in particular, the use of the control (identification) marks.

Description: the round table was held on November 25th, 2014 at President-Hotel. It was attended by the representatives of producers of beer and non-alcoholic beverages (Lidskoe,  Olivaria, Heineken, Coca-Cola Beverages Belarus), Ministry of Taxes and Duties, Department of the State Signs of the Ministry of Finance, Eurasian Economic Commission, Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, law firm "Stepanovski, Papakul and partners", Union "Brewers Guild" and leading economic mass media.

Result: the position of producers of beer and non-alcoholic beverages on the inappropriate use of control (identification) marks was presented to representatives of governmental authorities. Following the event, the Association of European Businesses prepared an analytical report which, together with the materials of the round table, was submitted to the Council of Ministers and other governmental authorities.
