On June 30, 2020, a special online session was held dedicated to meeting the new Executive Director of the UN Global Compact, Mrs. Sanda Ojiambo.

Such a session for the members of the Coordination Councils was organized for the first time in the history of the Global Compact.

It was announced that in the first quarter of 2021 it is planned to launch a new form of the Report on Progress (CoP), which is prepared by all signatories and participants of the Global Compact - a draft version will be presented for discussion in September 2020.

Today, the Global Compact's value proposition to participating companies is to offer a transparent and open non-financial reporting tool, which is published on the UN Global Compact website. This allows companies to share their achievements in the field of corporate sustainability and, thus, to demonstrate at a high level their openness to society, which generates reciprocal respect and trust.

Finally, participation in the Global Compact helps responsible businesses to integrate their actions and activities to achieve sustainability into the global and / or national agendas, which means that the company has the opportunity to act not alone, but together with like-minded people both from their own country and from other countries.

In the conclusion, the standards of good and effective management, which are now guided by the Global Compact, were presented, an important component of which is the participation of the Coordination Council in the procedures for making strategic decisions within the framework of the Global Compact Network.
