Public Discussion of the Resolution on Pollutant Emission Regulation

The draft Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus "On Amending Resolution No. 664 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of May 21, 2009" (regulating air pollutant emissions) has been submitted for public discussion.
The draft provides for:
- eliminating legal uncertainty regarding leased facilities impacting the atmosphere;
- regulating the retention periods for documents submitted by interested parties for administrative procedures;
- eliminating the excessive requirement to provide electronic copies of the interested party's application, as well as a document confirming payment of the state fee;
- adopting legal regulations ensuring compliance with the provisions of Law No. 2-Z of the Republic of Belarus "On Air Protection" of December 16, 2008, regarding facilities impacting the atmosphere during their construction, reconstruction, and commissioning.
